What can you do?

What can you do for the rainforest in Paksong?
We hope that you will understand the necessary of saving the rainforest in Paksong area. If we do nothing, the whole forest will turn into a plantation!
You can help us by 'buying' a piece of land, by buying one or many pixels from our pixel page.
With the help of the money we can collect that way, we will buy plantations bordering the rainforest, so they can not extend. The plantation will be replanted and used for educational parts for the local people and school. It can also be used for biological gardening (following the principles of permaculture).
You can donate money by clicking here.

Of course, there are a lot of other things you can do for helping the environment. It can be little things you change in your lifestyle, but they can have a big effect.
Here are some ideas of things you can do yourself to help saving the environment!

  • Use energy saving light bulbs

  • Use recycled paper

  • When it is getting cold, put on more clothes instead of turning up the stove

  • Use green energy, like solar energy or wind energy

  • Use biological insecticide

  • Isolate your house

  • Walk, cycle or use the public transport instead of the car

  • Take a shower instead of a bath, and don't shower too long!

  • Use a water-saving douche tap

  • Say NO to plastic bags, take your own bag to shops etc.

  • Separate your garbage

  • Re-use

  • Recycle

  • Reduce

  • Make compost

  • Turn off the lights when your not in a room

  • Put garbage into the bin, don't throw it on the streets or into the forest or into the sea!

  • Don't put cigarette butts into the sea!

  • Don't let the television, radio or computer be on standby. This costs a lot of energy. Turning them off is better for the environment and for your wallet!

  • if you have old clothes and shoes, don't throw them away in the bin, but donate them to the salvation army

Of course the list is endless, but you can make a change. Be aware!
