Help save the rainforest

Since December 2005 Runs 'N Roses purchased a piece of land bordering a river and overviewing the rainforest. It is the place where we have built three bungalows for guests. Guests who stay in this bungalows, help to support the Thai Child Development Foundation.
The land is also the homebase for the Thai Child Development Foundation - a foundation that helps Thai children in Phato area. Here all their projects are done.

From this 'mountain' the view over the rainforest is asthonishing and beautiful. However, in the short period that we live there, we see more and more forest disappearing. Sometimes very rapid. Local people kill the trees and make fruit plantations where the forest used to be.

We would like to stop this proces and save the forest in Phato area.

And this is how we want to achieve that:

1. we will have to find fundings for our project

2. we will make this web site to inform people, make brochures and poster

3. we are going to find out if we can start buying land bordering the rain forest

4. we will start tree-nurseries for replanting the forest on our own land, together with the people of Ton Nam National Park

5. we will open a bank account for donations

Of course we want to do everything official and legaly. Right now we are checking out how we can make sure that the land we will buy will be replanted and will stay forest for ever more.

We do need your help with this, because our organization does not have the money to do this on it's own.
