How can we save the forest

1. Runs 'N Roses is planning to buy land that is bordering the forest and replant the forest there. Together with the local people, the schools and the National Park.

2. We are going to start an educational program - together with the volunteers of the Thai Child Development Foundation - in schools.

3. We want to start a foundation, who will take care of the land we bought and the replanting and make sure the forest we won back will stay forest. For ever.

4. We want to create awareness by organizing presentations and workshops for local government, farmers and schools, together with the National Park.

5. We want to do research and start project for additional programs for the farmers. If we can secure an income as a guide on treks in the forest for example, they do not have to cut the trees for more income.

6. We want to connect with other bigger, national and international organizations. We know we are not alone in this.

7. We want to raise funds to make this project work. The funds will come from private sources as well as from governmental or business sources.

8. We would like to start ecological projects on perma-culture, tree-nurseries en biological gardening to show and teach local people there are different ways of cultivating the land.

9. We want to ask the volunteers of the Thai Child Development Foundation to represent us on seminars, workshops, schools and everywhere else where they can tell what we want to achieve. They will be our ambassadors.

10. We want to start a garbage and recycle bank for students of primary and secondary schools, to create more awareness on the environment, together with the volunteers of the Thai Child Development Foundation.
