Runs 'N Roses is located
at a beautiful, but rather isolated spot. Getting there is
nevertheless no problem.
You can choose to travel to the city of Ranong (by
bus or by plane) or to Lang Suan (by bus or by train)
in the province of Chumpon. From Ranong and Lang
Suan you can travel to the city of Phato, a city
close to Runs 'N Roses.
Both Lang Suan as Ranong are 50 kilometer away from Phato.
In Phato - at the police box on the main road - we can pick
you up to bring you to Pak Song village, where we are located.
If you come from Ranong by bus, you better get out at the
Paksong section, don't go to Phato. If you want to be picked
up from Lang Suan or Ranong we can organize pickup service
for you. Just let us know in advance.

Own transport
When you use your own transport you have to take the turn to right
(if you come from Ranong) at the Paksong section on the road
from Ranong to Lang Suan (there is a small gas station there and
a restaurant). Follow the sign saying: Klong Rua. If you come from
Lang Suan you have to pass Phato (it is on your left hand side).
After about 12 km's you will see a left hand turn (at the Klong
Rua sign). Take that turn. You cross a small bridge and follow the
road, turning left. After about 1 km you will see the entrance to
Runs 'N Roses and Thai
Child Development Foundation (on your left hand site).
It is easy to recognize because of the big sand-arena for the horses
that is visible from the road. Go up the mountain to our restaurant,
we will be waiting there for you.
Mind you: you need a strong car to get up there, and if
you want to explore the area: most of the roads are dirt roads around
our place. A pickup will do, but a sedan will not. Motorbikes or
motorcycle can get here without a problem and even push-bikes managed
to make it to Runs 'N Roses.
Travel to Lang Suan by bus
All the busses from Bangkok to any destination on the South will
stop in Lang Suan. Some in the town, some in the second bus station
on the main highway (10 km from town). The other way round is also
true: every bus from the South will stop in Lang Suan on its way
to Bangkok. But if you are going to Phato, coming from the south,
you can better take the busses going to Ranong. They pass through
Phato. When you arrive at Lang Suan by bus, you can you take a motorcycle
taxi towards the market (talaad) of Lang Suan. From the market the
song taews (local taxi-bus) will leave for Phato. They ride from
08.00 in the morning until 18.00 in the evening, every hour. Get
of the song taew at the police box on the main road in Phato. Another
option is to take a bus from the bus station (also close to the
market), direction Ranong. Get out in Paksong. We can also organize
a pickup from Lang Suan.
