Runs 'N Roses settled down
on a piece of land in the village of Pak Song. A beautiful mountain,
surrounded by a river and with an astonishing view over the rainforest.
Here we build three bungalows for our guests. We also made a number
of sitting areas, a restaurant with a beautiful garden and sportfields.
And there is much more you can find at the mountain, for example:
a restaurant, our gardens (flower, herbal, vegetable), the river,
stables and horses, and much more. Just scroll down this page to

The bungalows

There are now 3 bungalows on the mountain. Each
one has a big private garden, own sitting areas and a fire
place to make your own campfire at night. Every bungalow has
a big porch, with a beautiful decorated bench.
The bungalows are situated on the foot of the mountain and
are all very close to the river. From your bungalow it is
easy to go to the riverside and sit on your own small beach.

When you enter your bungalow via the porch, you are in the
bed- annex living room A big bed, a cupboard with Chinese
doors, a desk, a fridge, a sitting area are to be found here.
Via another Chinese door you can enter your bathroom. The
bathrooms has a shower (water from a well), a Western toilet
and a Thai style shower. There is a small sink for washing
your hands and teeth and of course the bathroom is beautiful
decorated. As is everything in the bungalow. You will find
stone decorations on the outside of the house, murals in the
bed- and bathroom, wooden decorations on the wall. The cupboards,
furniture and chairs are made of wood by local craftsman.

The price: 1.000 Baht per night.
The price includes a Western or Thai style breakfast, lunch and
dinner.
Mosquitonet, clean sheets, extra blankets are provided.
The bungalow is cleaned on daily base.

Half way the mountain we built a restaurant with a big wooden
veranda. It is a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The
view over the mountains and the rainforest is amazing. The
restaurant has also proved to be a good observation post for
spotting birds, butterflies and squirrels.
We serve excellent meals in the restaurant. You can enjoy
the original Thai cuisine or our more 'westernized' food at
the family style meals we serve every night. Next to food
we serve great fruit shakes, Thai-style ice-tea, coffee and
tea. Cocktails, wine and beer are also available.
Guests who stay in the bungalow can use our professional kitchen
and restaurant to prepare their own meals in the evening if
they like.

The river

The river flows around the mountain and from each bungalow
it is very easy to go there. Being so close to your bungalow,
the sound of the water is a heard very well. The river is
for sure the perfect spot to relax and cool down after a hot
day.
Alongside the river you will find numerous small beaches,
sand as well as pebbles.

We have our own vegetable-, fruit-,
herb- and flower-gardens, which supply us with food and
spices for the kitchen and flowers for the rooms. The gardens
are to be found in different areas on the mountain.
There are many sitting areas in the flower gardens. If you
walk around the mountain you can sit there and relax and enjoy
the beautiful flowers and plants, as well as the birds and
many butterflies.

Sport fields

Close to the river and visible from the restaurant you will
find a number of sport fields. Football, volleyball and so
on can be played here by the local people, guests and volunteers
who live on the mountain. There is also a ping pong table
next to the sport field.
You will also find a petanque field there. Petanque is one
of Thailand's national sports. At Runs 'N
Roses everybody - guests and visitors, Thai and 'farang'
- can throw the balls, discuss and argue, drink some wine
or Thai beerand most of all: have fun.

The stables and horses
The mountain is inhabited by many people and even animals. Together
with the Thai
Child Development Foundation a number of projects
are done with - international - volunteers as well as guests. One
of these projects is done with horses. On the mountain you will
find Pompom, Cartoon, Boonmaak and Tony the pony, the horses of
the foundation. They live in the stables you will find close to
the entrance of the mountain. You are free to visit the stables
anytime you want. Horse
back riding lessons or trips in the area are a possibility too.

We have a laundry service, a taxi service, we can organize many
outdoor activities and workshops, help you with information on traveling
in Thailand, we can organize train tickets and tell you about Thai
culture and language.
