Who is who at Runs 'N Roses

What else can you expect?

How to get there?

   Petanque

In Thailand there are a several sports very popular:

  • Sapak taekraw, a ball sport where the ball is juggled with food, shoulder, breast and head over a 1,5 meter high net. It Is a fast and exciting sport to watch (and do) and it is played with two teams of three people. If you visit a school you will probably see the kids play it.

  • Soccer (of course)

  • And petanque, the game where a team has to throw their 6 metal balls as close to a small wooden ball as possible. Originally this game comes from France, but it is extremely popular in the South of Thailand. Many primary schools have a petanque field.

At Runs 'N Roses, we have a petanque field too!

Two teams can compete on the field on the mountain. It is an easy, fun and relaxed way of being active. It has become a social event where Thai and farang (foreigners) play against each other at least once a week.

Natural building project:; supported by Runs 'N Roses

Runs 'N Roses is set up to support the Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF) financially.

Many foundations have a lot of "overhead", such as salaries for staff, office rent, supplies, daily life costs, transport to and from projects and so on. If we would not have set up the Runs 'N Roses organisation, 50% of the given donations to the foundation would be spent on things like that. By staying in the bungalows of Runs 'N Roses, you will help the Thai Child Development Foundation in a constructive and lasting way. This will benefit all children involved with the foundation.
