What can you do at Runs 'N Roses?

Well, that depends entirely on you!! We have courses, workshops, trips, and many outdoor activities for you to participate in. You can go outside trekking or stay indoors to do a cooking course or one of the workshops Runs 'N Roses can organize. Some of the outdoor activities can be done on your own, such as walking trails and mountain biking The treks, however, need to be organized, because a guide is needed for this.

Most activities can be done by both adults and kids (7 years and up), but we also have special activities for kids.

Outdoor activities

Here is an overview of the outdoor activities you can do together (or alone) at Runs 'N Roses. The organized trips are done by local people. Let us know in advance if you are interested and we can contact them for you.

• Trekking activities - organized. You can do a hike in the area with a local guide, a trek to (bat)caves or to a waterfall. You can read the report of Luke, one of our guests and an Australian forester, describing his jungle trek in area with a local guide.

• Horse back riding trips and horse back riding lessons - organized

• Wild water rafting - organized

• Mountain biking - on your own

• Exploring (bat) caves - organized. Read the report of the cave trip, written by previous participants.

• Walking trails - on your own

• Walking trails with a local guide - organized
  

• Swimming - on your own

• Play petanque - on your own

• Tubing - on your own

Day-trips

And last but not least, we organize day-trips in the area. During these trips we will show you beautiful places, visit small villages, have lunch at unusual places, and so on. For example:

• a trip to Ranong, with a visit to a Buddhist temple, the hot springs and the biggest waterfall of the area.

• a trip to the biggest waterfall in the area, a picnic will be served on one of the big rocks in the water.

• a trip to the Andaman coast, with a visit to a waterfall, a boat-trip through the mangrove forest and the beach of the Andaman sea.

• A long-tail boat trip (organized) on the rivers close to the lodge. You can read the report of previous participants if you like.

Kids

Runs 'N Roses organizes special activities for kids. All activities are under guidance of a skilled member of our staff. Your kids will have a great time, while you are enjoying some private time, take a stroll in the area, or maybe an outdoor activity. And of course adults are also welcome to participate in these special kids-activities. After all: they are great fun!

When to go....

Runs 'N Roses organizes outdoor activities throughout the year. Rainy season is not a problem; on the contrary, it is great for rafting and your bungalow is a comfortable place to stay afterwards.

You are welcome at the bungalows at any time to stay as long as you like. It does not matter if you do an outdoor activity, a workshop or course, both or neither. Runs 'N Roses offers a home in nature and a personal atmosphere. Please call or e-mail in advance to check for vacancies so we do not have to disappoint you.

For some of the activities and courses, it can be necessary to bring some extra things. Please, check the pages of the different activities for this. Of course, insect repellent is always necessary.

On return at Runs 'N Roses can offer several services, such as: laundry service, a clean and warm home, and all the information you need to get ready for the rest of your trip in Thailand!
