Bamboo
rafting is a very popular activity all over Thailand. It is great
fun and a nice way to enjoy the river from a different perspective.
Bamboo rafting can be very exciting because the river and the current
can be very strong, that is during the rainy season. In the dry
season you float along easily along the river.
You will be picked up from the lodge by the local people who will
go bamboo rafting with you. After a short ride you arrive at the
starting point, where you will get on your bamboo raft. Your guide
will steer the bamboo raft back on a leisurely two hour float with
enough stops for swimming. Life jackets are provided.
A lunch is provided within this activity.
Some tourists are disappointed because they expect a 'wild water
raft experience', instead of a nature trip on the river. If you
are interested in adventure, wild
water rafting is also one of the activities organized by Runs
'N Roses in cooperation with the
National Park during the rainy season.
